339 - An Encouraging Letter to the Church in Philippi (Part 1)
December 5 - Nº 339 Philippians 1:1 – 2:11 Paul first arrived in Philippi during his second missionary journey. He had planned to go north across Asia to spread the Gospel, but God had led him to Macedonia instead. There he met a wealthy businesswoman named Lydia. When he told her about Jesus, she believed. Many of her friends did as well, and soon a church was meeting in her home. Paul stayed and taught in that church for about three months (see #305 - November 1 – # 306

338 - A Personal Letter to Philemon
December 4 - Nº 338 Philemon Members of the church in Colossae gathered as they usually did in the home of a wealthy businessman to fellowship and study the Scriptures. One of the men who showed up was Epaphras. He was from Colossae, a small city in Asia Minor. Colossae was located in

Yet there he sat—in a Roman prison, chained to a Roman guard! Paul knew that the believers he was writing to would soon face difficult times--just as he had throughout his entire ministry. He realized that Satan was not happy that these believers were now sharing the Gospel message in a city tha

335 - A Letter to the Ephesians (Part 2) – Living as a Child of God
December 1 - Nº 335 Ephesians 4:1 – 6:9 Paul began his first prison epistle by describing all the amazing benefits God had made available to the believers in Ephesus (see #334 - November 30 ). He explained that these benefits already belonged to them since they had become God's children. In the next section of his letter, Paul focused on how they should live their lives in order to enjoy all the benefits God had for them. First, he re-emphasized God’s desire for the members
